Usage of cxf-core:3.5.3 with Wildfly 26.0.0.1

Hi Wildfly Team,
we currently have Wildfly 26.0.1 in use. We have an external library in use in our application that requires Apache cxf-core in version 3.5.3
This leads to an incompatibility as currently Apache cxf-core in version 3.4.5 is used.
I updated the dependency to 3.5.3 and at first glance it seems to run, but a colleague of mine mentioned that only the version that is provided with Wildfly should be used.
So is there any issue if i use the Wildfly with the cxf-core:3.5.3?
Would be great if you could clarify this for me, thanks in advance.
