Hi,

I'm using the wildfly-ee-with-tools BOM. Since the move to the main WildFly repo it looks like the org.jboss.shrinkwrap.resolver is no longer present. Is it missing or is it by choice? My usage is org.jboss.shrinkwrap.resolver:shrinkwrap-resolver-impl-maven.

Best regards,
Staffan

Hi Staffan, it is by choice, we are no longer including artifacts that we don’t manage versions in WildFly.

You should not really be limited - by us - wrt the version of such tools to use, WildFly BOMs should only provide artifacts needed for your projects to be compatible and debug properly.

I realize that this would be unsupported by wildfly, but to chime in here: I like to use the jars that are in wildfly as first-level curation -- so that I don't have to do all the initial curation myself :)

Sure David, that is why we have been providing artifacts that you don’t need wrt WildFly usage, but we use internally (eg Arquillian), yet in this case it was an artifact that we don’t use at all, so it didn’t make sense for us to decide which version you should use.

Hi Eduardo, it makes sense. Interesting to hear the reasoning since it's been included for a long time. The BOMs provided are very useful.

Thanks,
Staffan
