Hello,

We noticed some huge problems when activating https on Wildfly 23.

With some moderate load, suddenly Wildfly becomes totally unresponsive.
We have 8 cores and can see a 800% cpu usage.

We ran a JFR profiling when Wildfly was unresponsive and it seems it is related to the SSL as you can see :

Memory allocation is also insane (5 minutes profiling) :

All the I/O threads seems to be stuck in SSL hanshake.

Do you know if there is any bug in Wildfly 23 (or later versions) /undertow with the SSL handshake ?

Note : We forced supported TSL version to 1.2.

Hi,

Try upgrade the undertow module to last version.

Io.undertow
Jboss.xnio
Jboss.logging

Spare yourselves, I've wasted way too much time on this, including farting around trying to upgrade the undertow module.  https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2174246
Just downgrade your JVM minor version per above.

They're only publishing a patch in paid-for jBoss EAP  https://access.redhat.com/solutions/6997164
