Recommended PostgreSQL Version for WildFly 10 Compatibility

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on an integration involving EJBCA Enterprise 7.8.1 running on WildFly version 10, and we’re planning to use PostgreSQL as the backend database.

Has anyone here implemented a similar setup?
If so, could you please share which PostgreSQL version is recommended or proven to be stable with WildFly 10?

Any insights or experience would be greatly appreciated.

Can I please double check do you really mean WildFly 10? i.e. the release that was published in January 2016 and has received no maintenance in the last 9 years including security fixes? If you can it may be worthwhile to get to a more recent version.

Could you kindly advise on the compatible versions of WildFly, JDK, and PostgreSQL that are officially supported for EJBCA version 7.8.1?

EJBCA 7.8.1 should be combined with WildFly 26 and JRE 11. The version of PostgreSQL does not matter, just stick with the latest stable release.

If you're hellbent on WildFly 10, then you're looking at EJBCA 6 (6.3.1.1 or later).

But I would recommend using the EJBCA container from DockerHub.

However, at this time, we are not using a container license for our EJBCA Enterprise environment.
Would you be able to assist us by providing a Docker deployment setup or tutorial that we can follow?

The container on DockerHub is based on EJBCA Community, no enterprise license needed.

There is some documentation over there that you can look at.
