Hi all,
We have set a date for our annual Knapweed pulling volunteer day at Ranger Creek Airstrip! And we would love to have your help…
· Saturday August 17, 2013
· 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
· Ranger Creek Airstrip
· Directions from Enumclaw-Take State Highway 410 approximately 28 miles east, then turn right on Forest Service road 7160, follow signs to the airstrip.
· We will be pulling spotted knapweed (Centaurea stoebe), a very aggressive species that can quickly infest large areas. Knapweed infestations increase production costs for ranchers, degrade wildlife habitat, decrease plant diversity, increase soil erosion rate and pose wildfire hazards.
Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to seeing you there. Thank you in advance for your help and support.
