Fall 2011 Paid Internships at Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund and Leadership Institute (Washington, D.C.)

The Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund and Leadership Institute seeks paid interns in our Washington, D.C., office for the Fall 2011 Semester.

Students and recent graduates interested in helping Victory achieve its mission of increasing the number of LGBT people in public office across the country may apply to any of four program areas: Campaign Services, Leadership Programs, Fundraising & Donor Development and Marketing & Communications. Find out more at www.victoryfund.org/internships.

In addition to substantial responsibilities and learning opportunities within each program area, Victory internships include an educational and leadership development curriculum that

  • builds key organizational and leadership skills,
  • develops a strong understanding of campaigns and the political process, and
  • provides opportunities to build networks and explore career paths.

Victory interns must be passionate about gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender equality – all academic majors are encouraged to apply.  Interns receive a weekly stipend or academic credit and may work full- or part-time starting early- to mid-September and ending in early- to mid-December.

Please submit a resume and cover letter stating your desired internship, dates of availability, and whether you would receive a stipend or academic credit by email to car...@victoryfund.org.
