Version 1.9.1-TEST is ready for downloading.

NOTES:
* The wiki frontend has been completely refactored into a pure WSGI
application. This makes it significantly easier to run behind many
types of servers.
* If you are currently running a wiki behind Apache, you will have to
redo your integration or it will not work -- see http://wikklytext.com/wiki/ApacheIntegration
for step by step instructions.
* PLEASE make a backup and run from the backup until you know it works
for you. The frontend has had lots of changes and could very well
leave you with a non-working wiki. (I am running this version on all
my wikis and it seems MUCH more stable than 1.6, but YMMV.)
* Recipes are currently given for running with both CGI and
mod_python. I expect to add more later -- please let me know any
suggestions/tips.
* This version IS NOT available via PyPI -- I don't want to wreck
anyone's stable server. See download link below.
* There may be more rough edges than in a normal stable release.
Please let me know what works/doesn't work.

Downloads & info: http://wikklytext.com/wiki/PreRelease

have fun ..

How does a newbie (for Python and Wiki stuff) try this version?
Could you give step-by-step for install and override as needed on
Ubuntu?

Thanks

This is a fairly broad question, but in the common case, just download the tar/zip file from the link below, unpack, and "python setup.py install". If you already had version 1.6 installed, and you want to revert, then "easy_install WikklyText==1.6" should do it.

Thanks,
That was just the hint I needed.
I'm using Version 1.9.1-TEST and have no new/unexpected problems.
