WikiTree is for remembering those who came before us. This week is especially dedicated to those we lost in 2025.
- In Memoriam: Members we lost this year.
See how you connect to these members.
- The new Legacy Team is expanding on the work of one former member at a time. Join them for a kick-off Zoom chat Saturday, January 3 @ 7pm ET (12am UTC).
- Is there someone whose memory you are particularly grateful to have preserved on WikiTree? Answer on G2G or FB.
- WikiTree is a community where members help members.
There's a 1776 Cubicle Party on Sunday, January 4 @ 2pm ET (7pm UTC). Get help finding your Patriot ancestor, ask questions, or just research together.
- Connect-a-Thon XVI is January 16-19. It's one of our biggest community events of the year — a perfect way to get more involved in our community, supersize your CC7, make friends, and learn from others who share your interests.

WikiTreer of the Week interview: Marianna Greer. She assists other members with One Name Studies.
"Getting involved with a project or a One Name Study is an excellent way to connect with others. You don't need to be an expert — asking questions, collaborating, and learning from more experienced members is part of the process."
Marianna's advice for new members:
"First, get the WikiTree Sourcer app. It completely changed everything for me. I was so insecure about creating sources properly that I initially shied away from WikiTree, and having a tool that made sourcing clearer and more approachable gave me the confidence to get involved."
Send this card or another vintage New Year's greeting card as a free & ad-free e-greeting.
- Thank you for all your contributions in 2025.
Thank you for remembering those who came before us, and for creating something of lasting value for generations to come.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne!
