Texas Independence Day is March 2.
Project Leader interview: Stuart Awbrey of the Texas and Wales projects. His advice to new members:
"You do not need to be an expert to make valuable contributions. A good way to learn is by doing. Other project members are eager to answer questions. That is the essence of collaboration."
- The Nordic (covering Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden) and Kentucky projects are seeking members.
- WikiTree now has five million profiles of people born, married, or died in England. If you have English ancestors, consider joining the outstanding England Project.
WikiTreer of the Week interview: Pam Anderson Smith, leader of the Unknowns Team that is working to find missing last names.
"Most of my time on WikiTree is spent on Unknown profiles, an overwhelming percentage of which are for women whose identity and heritage is disappearing."
- 7,657 links to Find A Grave on WikiTree appear to be broken. The Find A Grave memorial pages must have been merged or deleted. Please join our collaborative clean-up. (Correcting just a handful will help!)
Quick Tip:
