They are struggling to shift to hosting everything themselves after their former hosts raised rates. Would appreciate advice on what to do next. They have a couple.part time Smithsonian staff keen to sustain the project, and some Wikispecies editors wants a closer sync or integration if possible.

Is there a db admin who could talk to them to find out what they need + advise? Also with an eye towards making it easy to scrape and archive (something they also mentioned when I asked about recent downtime)

Easiest would be to host at Miraheze.org with a custom domain.

Scraping and archiving is simple with wikiteam3.
