App Crash

Hi all,

Just downloaded the latest English wikipedia, and the app crashes
every 3-4 searches. Is there a fix for this?

Sorry for your difficulties; it sounds like your install went bad, a
we've had no similar instability reports. Please try deleting the app
and re-installing directly from iTunes (you won't be charged twice if
you are using the same iTunes account you originally purchased on.)

I installed this one through iPhone WiFi from the App store, which took me over 20hours all in all. How can I install this directly from Itunes?

Well, the data dump does have to be downloaded over WiFi - Apple
refuses to serve it through iTunes because it's so large. The
bandwidth needed to serve it to you is costly. So you will still need
to download the actual Wiki dump over WiFi - the app itself installs
through iTunes, but then you have to fetch the big encyclopedia. 20
hours is excessive, though - make sure you are in a good signal spot.
I am able to download in under 30 minutes to my iPod Touch.

Ok. I just deleted the whole thing and got a fresh one from iTunes. Now when I open the app there are no choices to download, it's completely blank??? what to do?

I'm asking one of the developers, I've never heard of that. Is your
device jailbroken, by any chance?

I've been asked if this if your first version of the app or if you had
it before and this was a version upgrade - it sounds like your first
to me. Meanwhile, I see my entire last message to you was not posted.

Hi Tanager,

Sorry for being absent in responding.
I got it to start loading again. It's still really slow. I'll let you know how it works when its fully loaded. Hopefully it doesn't crash.
