I recently downloaded th v3.0 of the SDK and installed the iPod Touch
version. Unfortunately, the AppStore version of Encyclopedia does not
work on v3.0. The Download screen just remains blank. Are there plans
for a v3.0-compatible version?

Also, a more recent Wikipedia dump us now available. Will it be
available for download?

Thanks!

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the mail. We'll certainly be releasing a 3.0-compatible
version, in all 18 languages, by the time 3.0 is officially released.

As for a new English dump -- this will likely come in the
3.0-compatible version of Encyclopedia, when we incorporated the new
dump code that we wrote for the multilingual versions. (This version
will also support updating your dump without getting a new version of
the app.)

Cheers,

Patrick

Hi

With the new 3.0-compatible version will there be any changes to the
way the dump is downloaded? I have had to download it 3 times now over
the last few months for various reasons (iphone updates/restores etc)
and it's pretty painful being without it for week.

It would be fantastic if you could incorporate a basic transfer from a
PC to the iPhone in the next release, I am more than willing to cough
up some more cash for it!!! (I am assuming many people are doing this
already but can it be done without a jailbroken phone?)

Cheers

Jason
