I have, for the last few years, been thinking of building my retirement home in Carmel Valley California and doing so in a affordable, sustainable, and cost effective manner.  Being an ardent DIYer, Wikihouse has really open my eyes to the possibilities of building an unpretentious  series of structure which would be comprised of a 600 sq. ft. art studio, 400 sq. ft. guest cottage and a 3 bedroom 2 bath 1800 to 2000 sq. ft. home. 

Now at this point this is just all a dream, but  in 6  to 7 years I hope to be able to make my dream a reality by using the collaborative knowledge and power of Wikihouse.
