Hey,

I am Christina, Research Fellow at the P2P Lab in Greece (http://www.p2plab.gr/en/).

We are going to build, test and evaluate a WikiHouse and of course share our experience with you!

We are currently at the design phase, looking for a CNC machine, such as the ShopBot PRSalpha 120-60.

Please let us know about your opinion on the suitability of the specific model. Could the model 96-48 be also used for the WikiHouse construction?

Regards,

Christina

Hi Christina,

Great news!

The good thing about the Wikihouse Wren system (as seen in the Microhouse designs: https://github.com/wikihouseproject/Microhouse) is that it can be cut on almost any CNC machine provided you have sufficient minimum bed size of 1220x2440mm to take a full plywood sheet.

We have used ShopBot tools in the past for Wikihouse projects and these have worked well, and very reliable for small/medium projects.

Recently the main thread of discussion has moved from this Google group to Slack. If you haven't already, please do sign up and join our online community to follow the latest news from contributors around the world and post your own. Here's the link to the new group:

Looking forward to seeing your progress!

Many thanks,

Clayton
