Good afternoon:
The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges was pleased to announce completion of the Open Course Library during a press call today.
As promised during the call, the latest Updated Cost Analysis of the Open Course Library from Student PIRGS (Public Interest Research Groups), is now available. Key finding: The Open Course Library has saved students $5.5 million in textbook costs to date, including $2.9 million during the 2012-2013 academic year alone. The vast majority, $5.1 million of these savings are within the Washington community and technical colleges.
