Hi James,

I can see the value for users to switch off the display of the site notice -- especially since we can force the display of new site notices, before they disable <smile>.

What do other WikiEducators think? Is this a useful feature?

As long as its stable and makes wikieducators's lives easy, i am for
it!!

It seems to me that all Wikimedia Foundation sisterproject installs are running it.

I'd be curious if anyone knows why its not standard in MW. Maybe Erik, do you know?
