OERF and WikiEducator strategy

Hi Everyone --

I've been spending the past few weeks developing a high-level strategy for WikiEducator to scale up its global activities in developing OER in support of all national curricula in the world.

The Open Education Resource Foundation (OERF) is an independent non-profit entity which is responsible for raising and administering funds for the growth of WikiEducator and fostering the development of a sustainable OER ecosystem. We are committed to providing a free service for all educators to collaborate on the development of high quality OER.

I have now completed the first draft of a strategic plan to achieve these aims. In the near future, we aim to raise funds -- not only for the support of our technical infrastructure, but also to commission the development of OER and relevant support services for future sharing, reuse and remixing by all educators.

Wayne,

Awesome work... great to see the OERF strategy forming with its own
legs outside of COL. I am going to take the time to read all this
great work through with an eye to encouraging an IT Governance Policy
that ensures technology alignment with this strategy. For in the end
good IT Governance Policies will go a long way to ensuring the
successful implementation of technology to support strategy.
