First WE Election Starting at 9.00 AM PST

Dear WikiEducators:

The time has finally arrived and we about to start the election period
from Monday September 1, 9:00 am Pacific Standard time, to Friday
September 12, 5 pm Pacific Standard time when the elections and your
ability to vote will be closed.

All WikiEducator members are invited to take part in this election
and vote for the candidate of their choice.

Results will be communicated and the winner(s) announced on Tuesday,
September 30, 2008.

Please note that to ensure a fair and valid voting procedure, we will
need

* First name and last name
* WikiEducator username

Please rest assured that all votes are confidential and only the
electoral committee has access to the personal information of
candidates and only for the purpose of verifying their accounts in
order to validate their vote.

I am not sure if I understand this , what this vote for ? does Chinese language or any other languages being supported in WE is something in this vote ? I look at Leigh page and thank you for the support !

Hi Leo,
Sorry that I am unable help. Can you translate the page into Chinese? I wish the pages were like on Moodle with the option of seeing them in various languages. I think google also translates the pages.

The vote is to select who will be elected to the WikIEducator Council,
which is basically the Board of Directors of the project. As part of
my campaign, I have called for improvement of multiple language
support, including that for Chinese:

Dear Leo,

Like steve, if i got elected, i'll support Chinese
language support would be on my agenda. You have my full support on
that. As you know we had a talk on that and we both agree that this
should be fairly easy task given the mediawiki plugin support. I guess
there is a lot of support for you out there :) Just hang on and we'll
try our best :)
