WOLA Workgroup - formation

Dear friends,

It was very encouraging to witness the enthusiasm and support of the WikiEducator community in selecting a name for the proposed WikiEducator Community College. WE community has selected the name ‘WOLA’ through a rough consensus poll (see http://wikieducator.org/WikiEducator_Community_College/Community_poll/Poll.12.5.12 ).

Now it is time to collaboratively design and build WOLA. As a first step, we have to form a WikiEducator Workgroup to discuss and propose the following

1.  Vision and Mission Statements for WOLA
2.  Interim Organization Structure for WOLA
3.  Interim business procedures for WOLA
4.  Pilot initiatives of WOLA

To initiate the activities, please sign up to the Workgroup at http://wikieducator.org/WikiEducator_Community_College/Workgroup1.12 and discuss and approve a charter for it. We may approve the charter of the Workgroup by June 10, 2012.

Hi Anil:  I would like to be part of this work group and tried to sign up...but am not sure I did it correctly.  I am still awkward with the wiki--but somewhat of an expert on course development, organizational design and community organizing so I think I can help.  Joyce McKnight, Associate Professor, Empire State College...
