Cape Town Open Education Declaration - Have you signed in support of OER?

Dear Friends,

On September 17, 2009, Software Freedom Day, the Open Education
Resources Foundation (OER Foundation), WikiEducators new home, will
have an official launch. As part of this launch it will sign the Cape
Town Open Education Declaration. It would also like to get as many
Wikieducator members as possible to sign up on the same day.

I will echo Patricia's comment. Especially to all those newly signed up members who have taken the WikiEducator Learning4Content workshops. You are obviously interested in open education. We need to continue to promote open education -- education for all -- and the use of open educational resources - that is what WikiEducator and the Open Education Resources Foundation is all about.

The Cape Town Open Education Declaration is a statement of these principles. That is why we would like to have as many people as possbile sign-up on September 17 (this Thursday). That day is also Software Freedom Day, which also promotes free access to computer software including educational software.

I did sign up yesterday. The feeling is great! ...I still have no
access into the eL4C. Its a shame!
