Here is an advertisement for a JRF under the DST-SERC Cognitive Science Research Initiative project, published in Indian Express of the 24th Dec. 2011. The advt. will repeat on 28th Dec. and 30th Dec. So, effectively, the last day to receive application will be 14th January 2012.

Junior Research Fellowship (DST-SERC Research Project) jointly with Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education, TIFR, Mumbai

Applications are invited  for the position of Junior Research fellow (JRF) under the DST-SERC Cognitive Science Research Initiative (CSI)  funded project: “Developing  Simple  Model Systems  and Experimental Paradigms in Cognitive Sciences for Undergraduate  Science Education” (Principal Investigator:  M.C.Arunan, PhD, Brain Research & Cognitive Sciences Laboratory,  Sophia College, Mumbai;  Co-investigator:  G.Nagarjuna, PhD, Gnowledge Laboratory, Homi Bhabha Center  for Science Education, TIFR, Mumbai).

The appointment will be for the period till 30th September, 2013; likely to be extended. Recruitment of JRF will be as per OM No.A.20020/11/97-IFD dated 31.03.2010: Rs. 16,000/-+30% HRA per month in the first two years and Rs.18, 000/-+30% HRA, in the third year.

Candidates with Post Graduate degree in any area of Biology/other basic sciences, but with an interest in Biology and having NET qualification, or with Graduate Degree in Professional Courses along with GATE or equivalent qualification, are preferred though others may also apply, giving (i) details of educational qualifications (ii) research experience, if any, and (iii) two letters of recommendation. The JRF will work largely at the Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education, TIFR, Mumbai.
