Dear all,
1. The CCTians from Jaipur are at it again: making videos on Model Systems-maintenance. (Please see the you tube link, below).
I am sure, you will have some suggestions to improve and also how to make it reach more biology students and teachers in the country and also other developing countries.
It will be nice, if you can point out inaccuracies, if any, or that you were not able to reproduce the results etc.
It is amazing that in India, biology students can graduate and more, without knowing how to deal with the fruit flies, Drosophila! C.elegans, Arabidopsis etc. are far removed from them any way!
2. Some of us are making use of the Biodiiversity Year (2010) to highlight the need to develop and foster more Model Systems from ones own immediate environs!
