One of the reasons for starting Wikidelphia was to find out about events and activities that would otherwise escape my attention.

The recent activity around Philly Tech Week led me to a panel discussion at the Inquirer featuring Stephen Tang, President of the University City Science Center and Roseann Rosenthal, President of the Southeastern PA Ben Franklin Technology Partners.

The conversation. led by Gregory Osberg, the new CEO of Philadelphia Media Holdings the owners of the Inquirer and Daily News, on "Technology Priorities" in Philadelphia, primarily focused on issues around innovation in technology and keeping the talent from slipping away. I was glad to hear much of what was said. There are hopeful signs coming from City leaders and business leaders that Philadelphia has an important role to play in the future of technology.

But, I'm still looking for how this will serve the majority of people in the City. So, today I quiried the Philly Custom Search tool with the word "innovation."

The number one hit was the Philadelphia Social Innovations Journal. That sounded good. So I made a page for it on Wikidelphia.
