Have you considered creating an application on https://tools.wmflabs.org/? I think that would be interesting having something to list duplicated articles inside some categories, notify users about new duplications, etc.

We hadn't considered it, but one of our goals is to provide a software platform to support the kinds of applications you describe. Is there a list of "requested tools" from editors anywhere?

Thats another good idea because I don't known any list of "requested tools". Anyway, consider that I appreciate you work and I found that it would help us improving the quality of the Wikipedia. Thank you.
