this shall be a small message from me to tell you about the future of
this project. The last months didn't give me much opportunity to work
on Wiki2LaTeX as I would've liked. Now this doesn't seem to change too
much. But as W2L is a project very important to me (for I use it
myself on a nearly daily basis). So I will try to invest some more
time in it (no guarantees on that, though :( ).
So here's the future:
a) I will start a new weblog for W2L soon and integrate a small forum
with it, because the Spam-problem here on Google Groups is starting to
get overwhelming. In fact, next to all Spam I get is from this group
(which in relation to others might not seem like much, but whatever).
b) Over the last weeks I somehow got into Mercurial. I like it and I
want W2L to be managed by it too. So this switch from SVN to Mercurial
will happen as well.
c) Hopefully, there will be some time in February to finish up some
tasks and finish up a 1.0 version. Let's all hope for the best.
The new Weblog will be announced in the next two or three weeks and
afterwards this group will have to close. I hope the new and to be
established forum will help to serve all users better than this very
group.
While this should cover everything I currently can tell, I truly wish
you the best and nice days until we might meet on the new forum.
My thanks to all users, bug reporters and contributors! Best wishes,
Hans-Georg
I came looking for news on the project and found this message, and I'm
wondering...
how is the migration coming? Did you have the time to work on it?
