FYI, Wikimedia Germany is hiring team members to work on WikiData
starting next year:

WikiData is meant to be a data/knowledge commons for all the languages
of the Wikimedia projects. Think Wikimedia Commons, except for data
(infoboxes and more) instead of multimedia files:
