Hey All,

Just wanted to remind you to keep your calendars open this coming Monday, March 7th at 7:30pm, as we have an important meeting with representatives from the Bicycle Coalition at 1571 Fulton Street!

This meeting is an opportunity for you both as a member of the Wigg Party and the community to help shape the vision for our streets as more bike, pedestrian, and transit-friendly spaces.  The Bicycle Coalition has a bold vision to enhance bicycle infrastructure around our city and it is up to us to help guide their vision as it pertains to our local community!

Thank you all for your continued support and involvement. See you Monday night!

Dear Wiggle Transformers,

How are you all?  Wonderful!  It's been quite some time!  I am emailing you because a lot has gone on since we last spoke and the Wigg Party is planning a meeting to address it all.  A new mayor, a new Bicycle Coalition campaign to improve our favorite bike route, a new commitment from said mayor to improve said bike route, the list goes on.

A lot of what the Wiggle Transformers have talked about over our many delicious potluck Sunday brunch meetings has been ways to improve the bicycle and transit infrastructure along the Wiggle.  And now that the Bicycle Coalition is spearheading its own citywide campaign to improve bicycle infrastructure along our most beloved bicycle route, some of us at the Wigg Party feel that it's time for us to have a substantive conversation with the SFBC staff about our hopes, dreams, and fears surrounding the Wiggle's ongoing campaign and subsequent improvement project.

So, without further ado, we would like to invite you, the Wiggle Transformers, to a meeting with SFBC staff one week from tomorrow:
  • Wigg Party "Wiggle Transformation" Working Group Meeting with the SF Bicycle Coalition!
  • Monday, March 7th
  • 7:30pm - 9:00pm
  • The Sunshine Castle
  • 1571 Fulton Street (@ Lyon)
This meeting will be both informational and interactive, as we hear from Bicycle Coaltion staff about their current plans for the Wiggle, and we talk to them about the changes we would like to see made as community members.  And ideally, when this meeting is over, we will have a shared vision and some next steps about how to advocate for this incredibly important project moving forward.

We appreciate the SFBC's grand vision for a citywide bicycle network and are excited to work with them to make this project a vision that is in line with some of their most stalwart activists in the local community!  So please, for those of you who can make it, come on out next Monday evening and join us as we work together with the Bicycle Coalition to help make San Francisco a worldwide model for alternative transportation and sustainable planning.

See you all next Monday!

Sincerely,
Ben
