ATR Installation

Hey everyone,

 

Sorry for the late notice, but I just heard from our FT-IR service engineer and he will be in around 2:45-3:00 pm today to install our new ATR crystal and give a brief training session. I insist that you come to this or make alternative arrangements to be trained by me if you want to use the accessory. If I find that people are using it who haven’t been trained, I’ll make sure it’s a lot harder to access. This includes your undergrads. Nothing personal about this, we just don’t need to spend another $5,000 because we didn’t use a piece of equipment properly.

Quick update, the training might be closer to 2;30 pm. I know we have seminar at 3:00 pm but it should only take 10-15 min and the service engineer is a great resource so ideally I'd like you to be there to ask him any questions you have. I've asked Bret to be understanding in case it runs past 3:00 pm and I'll let you know what he says.
