seamless AP change possible?

Dear developers!
I have installed Wifi Roaming fix 2.0.8 on my Android 5.1.1 on a sony xperia Z phone and on a tablet. Thanks for providing us this app with!
Wifi Roaming fix does work as expected, i.e. it hops from AP to AP when I move around my 3 APs, this is easy to verify as the radio channel changes as expected (it would be even nicer if the app would to show the vendor and device name of the device it is currently associated with, not only its MAC, but this really would add nothing functional to the app). When it does change an AP the device briefly (for a second or so) loses WiFi conectivity (as seen in the android status bar) and it reassociates to the new AP.
This is fine for browsing the web, but I do have applications that do not like this, e.g. streaming videos to VLC-media player (via HTSP protocol to be specific). The playback stops and VLC exits. Other apps like the Android YouTube app are more tolerant and do not stop playback.
So, it seems to me the hopping between APs is not seamless. Question: is a seamless re-association possible at all? Is there something that can be done to improve this?
Otherwise fabulous app, I appreciate expecially that it does not ask for more permissions than necessary!!

I have 2 APs with 2,4GHz and 5GHz, so 4 channels in total.
I have recently installed the Wifi Roaming Fix alpha version 2.11.
On my Samsung Galaxy S4 on Android 5.0.1 this version seamlessly changes to the strongest AP when I select connection method 2 in the device specific settings.
With connection method 1 and 3 the re-connection either does not work at all or is very slow (connection drops and wifi symbol disappears for about 1 minute).
