Wifi roaming fix turns itself off

Wifi roaming fix runs perfectly in the foreground, but puts itself (according to the notification bar) "off" after a while and needs to be brought back to the foreground in order to work again.
I have an S7 running Nougat.

This is still by far the best app I have tried to fix the WiFi roaming problem. I hope you can remove this issue.

I forgot to mention that I have turned the battery saver off for this app

The same happens to me. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge running Android 7.0.

Is this a Samsung S7 issue? I have the problem with a S7, Andriod version 8.0.0 WiFi Roaming Fix version 2.0.8. For me the app has to be open and active on screen before there is a switch to a stronger signal. This really removes any benifit in running the app. Anyone know of a fix?
