does it work in background?

Hi,

i have an app that runs a background service, so it transmits data even if the phone display is off. 

unfortunately the setup with the multiple access points is far away - i will be back there in a few weeks with limited time ...

so here is my question: 

does this app work if the display is off and the app runs in background?
