Recent inquiries to knowledgeable individuals, either solicited no
response or one suggesting these data have been misplaced since at
least the early 1970's.
I am interested in communicating with anyone who has knowledge of the
whereabouts of the balance of the original (or facsimile) San Jacinto
VTM dataset.
We had a question about San Jacinto a few weeks ago, and here's what I
wrote:

If you don't know Jim, he's a researcher at UC Davis who has been in
charge of digitizing the VTM vegetation maps. He has extensive
knowledge both about the current inventory and the history of the
collection. If no one else on this list can help you, you might try
