The Winamp SDK is a collection of code and examples projects that illustrate how code can be written for Winamp. About two months ago, we found a vulnerability in the Winamp 5.55 MAKI script parsing module. We reported our findings to AOL. AOL then released Winamp version 5.552 with the fix. Here are the details:
There's also a video player, and unlike that of previous versions of Winamp, this one is robust enough to use if you want an all-in-one jukebox app. Your video library is maintained in the same media view as your music, and you can play video in the same interface without opening additional windows or players. Additionally, Winamp has expanded the number of audio and video file types it supports, so you have a better chance of actually being able to play your media in the player than you ever have. The new version features improved support for HE-AAC and aacPlus audio, and AVI and WMV video. Overall, Winamp 5.55 represents a big jump forward when it comes to video content.

This source code bundle is provided under the GPLv2 as per the original license of the source code. It is provided as-is with all changes applied over the top of the existing source code (note: the v0.5 source code is provided in the included gen_nxsbigclock_05_setup.exe which includes everything provided with the v0.5 release). The Winamp 5.55 SDK as well as some of the newer Winamp 5.666 header files from here are required to build this release.

Very nice, but c++ error upon first use - Very nice skin. The only issue I had with it is if you change the skin while playing music you have a 50/50 chance of getting the c++ error of doom. it comes up and says "Virtual cell error" and kills winamp. restarting fixes the problem but it is a slight hassle. would have given it 5 stars but that part is why it is only 4. - June 16, 2009 by flamethrower
.. looks amazing.. will it work? - Yes! By far the best skin I've ever used! I've tried out many skins trying to find one that looked good maximized, looked good in a compact view, had album art... and most importantly.. worked well! Absolutely refreshing skin created for Winamp 5.55 version, with all the accustomed features: huge media library, playlist editor, Sound equalizer and tons of adjustment options for your skin. No matter if you are listening to itunes or web-radio, you'll get a fresh sound experience...
Crashes Winamp on Stopping - It's quite funny. The best idea is that u can use it as desktop dancer without background. The dancing moves and the beat detection are not really impressive. I just deinstalled this visual, because Winamp (5.55) hangs up, when I stop this visual. Needs more improvement. - April 20, 2009 by Julian H
