https://bit.ly/3jLTJs4   IT IS VERY ODD TO ME AS A CONSTITUTIONAL LAWYER THAT NIGERIA LIVES ON A CONSTITUTION ORDAINED BY A MILITARY DICTATOR – Bruce Fein   Mr. Bruce Fein and his partner at the Washington DC-based Law Offices of Fein & DelValle, PLLC are no strangers to Nigeria and the myriad of crises that have crippled the normal evolution of Africa’s most populous country, especially with regards to the country's dismal compliance with the norms international law and universal human rights. Mr. Fein, being a seasoned constitutional lawyer, is appalled that Nigerians have been effectively forced to live under an imposed constitution written by the military top brass and put into force without due consultation with the Nigerian stakeholders through a plebiscite or referendum. Mr. Fein’s engagement and commitment in seeking relief for the millions of criminally abused in Nigeria are outstanding.   Mr. Fein has used his Washington DC-based law firm to initiate legal actions aimed at making Nigeria and its errant leaders to be made accountable for the gross violations of due process in matters of governance and for abusing the human rights of millions of Nigerians over time. Mr. Fein and his partner had visited Nigeria in recent years to see matters for themselves and to directly interview victims and potential witnesses in the lawsuits targeted at their oppressors. The law offices had filed a petition with the International Criminal Court at the Hague following the wanting killings of unarmed pro-Biafra agitators during the infamous Operation Python Dance II in Abia state and elsewhere around Biafra.   Mr. Bruce has been constituent in his viewpoint that Nigeria’s multitude of ills emanate from the imposition of a constitution that was masterminded by military autocrats without due input from the citizens of Nigeria as required by international law and norms. In an earlier consultation relating to this matter by a delegation led by the Secretary-General of the LNC, Mr. Tony Nnadi, the US constitutional expert had identified the imposed fraudulent 1999 Constitution as the greatest enabler of corruption and widespread abuse of universal human rights of citizens by the country’s rulers.   There is absolutely no reason why the DSS should deny visitation rights to Mr. Ejiofor to see his client, Nnamdi Kanu, who is wrongfully incarcerated in Abuja without due process. Perhaps, the mere accompaniment of Attorney Ejiofor by an international lawyer of great repute could have frightened the DSS operatives to clamp down, even against a clear directive from the presiding judge on the matter. Mr. Fein has learned nothing new about Nigeria that he did not know before. The Nigerian government can be brutal to its citizens and is ruthless enough to hide the obvious in plain sight of the public.   Since many knowledgeable experts worldwide concur that the imposed fraudulent 1999 Constitution is the cause of all the woes of today’s Unitary Nigeria, the ultimate solution to the ongoing tribulations tormenting the citizenry must be seen to be constitutional.
