Azuka Onwuka writes about a burning issue that preoccupies the mind of the average Igbo alive today. Igbo homeland, including its heartland, is on fire – a phenomenon that did not happen even during the dark years of the Civil War. The fact is that the totality of Alaigbo is occupied, as we speak, by a force that is perceived to be acting in abject negation of the strategic interests of Ndiigbo. There is a living history behind this unfolding gory show within Alaigbo. This is the time for stakeholders to step forward and bare their thoughts so that the required critical mass can be better informed.   The brutal murder of Dr. Chike Akunyili has brought the reality of the level of insecurity at ground zero to every household. The elitist debate about who has the right or wrong approach to extricating our folks from the internal slavery foisted on all by Unitary Nigeria must now be seen as a luxury while the average Igbo’s right to life is hanging on the balance. Let’s, therefore, take a moment to read this article by Azuka Onwuka. I have excerpted a punchy segment below for your careful perusal:   “Today in the South-East, the hailers of the violence perpetrated by the so-called unknown gunmen are in the second phase: denial. The reason is that Igbo civilians are being murdered. The hailers are busy crafting conspiracy theories of how those behind the attacks in the South-East are members of the Department of State Security (the intelligence agency), the ruling All Progressives Congress, Buhari’s agents, Fulani herdsmen, politicians, etc. The sweet thing about denial is that it exonerates us and blames someone else. But denial does not take the problem away.   People have been arguing back and forth whether the violence in the South-East is being perpetrated by IPOB, but many people don’t get the point that such an argument is useless now. It does not matter anymore who are behind the killings. What matters is that the South-East is burning and there is no sign that it will stop soon. Both the hailers and non-hailers are not safe anymore.   The seed of today’s violence was sown when the Nigerian security operatives responded to anything concerning IPOB with lethal force, leaving sorrow, tears, and blood behind. That seed was then watered with IPOB leadership’s adoption of threats, orders, and acerbic language as the normal form of communication. Any person with a different view was tagged a saboteur, an efulefu (a worthless human being), an illegitimate scion of the Fulani, or an otellectual (an intellectual who reasons from the anus) and demonized as an enemy of the “freedom of Biafra.” Nobody needs to even directly order a physical attack on those who have been so demonized. Overzealous members or sympathizers can take it upon themselves to do so and feel justified for carrying out such a noble duty for the sake of freedom! AND THAT IS A BIG LIE!!!

You have been in this struggle, many other struggles - all before most people. There is absolutely nothing anyone will tell you that you do not know already. And therefore personally being un-oblivious of the backdrop of this issue, l am of the incline to dispute your narrative here. Whether it is your personal experience or the article you foreshadowed below written by Azuka Onwuka that informed your stance, l write in the same vein.

Thank God for the first time l can remember, l was positively taken, sold what Gov. Willie Obiano was recorded saying on a you-tube. In that video he averred that he disagreed with the unpalatable statement by Abubakar Malami, the northern niggeria attorney general masquerading as the attorney general of niggeria. Yes, Obiano was on point in his steadfastness, asserting that Malami, known as undisguised adviser to the APC political party campaign of Andy Uba could not be viewed with any seriousness of opinion since he, Willie saw politics ionization effect on Malami's commentary. Believe me when l say, that is the Obiano l thought l met in his US, Tampa Florida 2013 campaign outing. And in the company of my friend, Dr. Nkem Okeke suiting as his deputy forcing me to acknowledge the duo as a good pick by Mr. Obi in my estimation, all my previous negative view of Obi temporarily terming.

l will not dwell much on what Governor Obiano said but will rather make my own statement as categorical as it to could be given my sitting disagreement with you here. Anambra state is a political pristine state despite the miscalculations of some misguided elements in the state whose unpruned prongs of irresponsibility once in a while flare up. Christian "esele-enu-ego" Uba from Uga once with his thugs invaded the state, chasing Christian Nwabueze Ngige, then the state governor around for attempting to collect for his Okija shrine-incensed indebtedness. And when Ngige stood his ground and dared them, the entire Awka stationed state "Anlage" went up in flames, destroyed. Unfortunately, the party in power, chairman Vincent Ogbolafor, Obasanjo presidency PDP was active in mischief and connivingly in that menace. To the best of my knowledge, no arrest was made and then zero prosecution.

The funny thing is that the current presidency - whether of real or doppelganger personification is of political party called APC. And the dubious incline is not that veiled since the formation of APC is a joker out of the PDP. In my not too distanced identities of APC, PDP, the conclusion will be that it is still the same people. And unfortunately for APC here, Andy Uba parading as it current gub aspirant unintentionally unmasking himself as a likely candidate of ills. Andy was Obasanjo superior assistant. Obasanjo campaigned in Anambra state promising that his goal would be an accomplishment crowning Andy the governor of Anambra state. Folks, it was not a mere boast for he did and Andy Uba became the governor of the state in the 2007 election except though that because that election was "cursed" in the eyes of the people, it became an ill-fated misadventure. That was because Peter Obi used his mandate elongation project lawsuits to chase Andy and his ill-fated ascension out of Awka.

This time around, it is the same Andy l mentioned above for being a superior brother of "destruction" Christian Uba of Uga and also Obasanjo-Ogbolafor rig-ection election of 2007, a historical 17 day mandate governor. Therefore and not because l am an MNK-IPOB Biafran wearing our commitment emblem of no-election in Anambra state, whatever is happening now in Anambra state is not special even though we hold special election, or also called off year election. Nothing here is novel though some people would and could write their novels about it, the sate is not in comparison to what takes place in the north central and north east of the zoo called niggeria. Criminals walk around all the time. There are copycats too who would want to capitalize on the existing criminalities to exact their own pound of the flesh. Biafra and Biafranism, IPOB and ESN have no hands in what is the on-going destructions. And with these, l hereby disagree with you brother Dr. Nwosu
