K750 Battery Removal

Thetwo wires lead to a standard 18650 lithium battery holder. Talk about making your keyboard ugly. But hey, this battery will probably last me more than a year, and I have 20 of these batteries sitting at home.

Will the solar panel on the keyboard try and charge the lithium battery if it is still attached? I want to mod my own k750, but not sure if its safe with the solar panel still attached.
