Is anyone planning some training runs in the Enchanted Forest to prepare for the Ancient Oaks 100?

Jeff,

A few of us have been talking about it, just yesterday in fact at WP, but yet to actual plan one! ;-)

But, you know the old cliche, "If you're talking about it you're not doing it. If you're doing it you're not talking about it!"

Let's plan to run some cool down laps at Enchanted Forest after the
Chain of Lakes 5k Nov 21.
http://www.fleastcoastrunners.com/Races-Chain_Of_Lakes.html
The 5k starts at 08:00.
It is 18 minutes and 9.4 miles from the Chain of Lakes to the
Enchanted Forest.
2215 E Jay Jay Rd, Titusville, FL 32796 (Chain of Lakes Park)
444 Columbia Blvd., Titusville, FL 32780 (Brevard County Enchanted
Forest)
The course map of the Ancient Oaks is posted.
http://www.fleastcoastrunners.com/Races-Ancient_Oaks.html
Start at 10:00 at the Enchanted Forest? Do I hear 09:30?

Hello All -

Ancient Oaks 100 co-race director Mike Melton here - don't assume that the map on Frank's website is the correct course that we're going to be using in the race this December.  Stu Gleman and I are still in discussion about using the 3.46-mile loop (which we've used for the past five years) and that may well happen for this year's race.  The loop shown on Frank's website is NOT that loop - it's a shorter 2.75-mile loop that Stu is considering using.  I'm voting for the bigger loop, and it's not yet been settled.

Regardless, doing training runs in the park is NEVER a bad idea - have fun!  See you all at the race!

Sincerely,

Mike Melton
