There seems to be a popular misconception that the Coleman 241G lanterns are particularly rare and/or valuable. They are quite sought after by US collectors, but I think that's just because they were never sold in the USA.

I currently own 3 241G models and 2 241A models (older and scarcer). They are fine little lamps but I suspect there are a lot more of them around than is commonly realized.

Please chime in and tell us how many you have.

What about the idea of starting a registry by model? Especially for the less common models like the 241, 246, 247, 238, 206, etc. Take the lead and start a new topic in Gallery called "Make and model" Registry, e. g. "Coleman 241G Registry" or "Primus 1015 Registry"
If it is popular, I can even create a new category called The Lamp Registry.

I have two G's now. Started off with a really beat up one which cleaned up nicely and then got a barely used one.

Me too...

I have also found one at last. With regards to its scarcity, it is lamp nr 36 in my collection, and it took 17 months before I came accross one.

I like the little lamp a lot, and understand that the Yanks are annoyed that they werw nevwr available in the USA.

An update on what I have. I have five G’ s , two A’s and three G founts.
I used one of the G’s uppers to build up one of theA’s so now have four G’s and four G founts , one with a valve assembly.
