Hi Phil, I also have exactly that setup, we used it as a side oven, I used to also have the Perfection double oven, wife wants to kill me for selling it. They give a very good even heat if the wicks are well maintained and the "v" plate at the bottom wasnt burnt through, its a moist heat so bakes beautifully too, no odours just a wonderful warm smell in the house. Our Valor 608 , 3 burner upright blue flame was the main kitchen stove, also had a Coleman double oven 4 plate white enamel big thing , even our fridge was paraffin and worked well, wont say like a bomb because everyone had one and our neighbours one burnt the house down because they didnt keep the flue clean. This was all at Little Brak riveroutside Mossel Bay. I must take pics, I am in the process of stripping and redoing the Valor 608 stove, amazing that they were all kits. I also have a few hand manuals and cookery books that went with the various items. We dint have electricity at the river until 1965 and the house dated from 1913 so was entirely reliant on paraffin and later gas.Peter
