Register Now for the “AT Across the Lifespan” Conference – December 3 & 4, 2009

 

You are invited to attend the 3rd annual Assistive Technology Across the Lifespan Conference (ATALC).

Wisconsin’s largest Assistive Technology Conference

• Exciting two-day event (December 3 & 4, 2009)

• 50 concurrent sessions with hands-on technology opportunities

• Interactive exhibit hall with raffle prizes

• Reception with entertainment by “Switch Ensemble”

• Great location and timing - Glacier Canyon Lodge at Wisconsin Dells

 

ATALC is a cooperative effort between WisTech, Stout Vocational Rehabilitation Institute (SVRI),

Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESAs) and Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS).

 

 

The Conference includes several sessions that specifically address Transition issues including Tech College and UW Campuses accommodations, surveys of student AT use, finding AT resources, and Universal Design for Learning. You may also be interested in sessions regarding low-tech AT solutions, Home modifications for persons with disabilities, Driver assessments and driver training for students with special needs, etc....

 

The Conference is approved for CEUs for ASHA, ATP, and CRC, and others. There are special stipends available for students and members of the (former) WATI Leadership group (including many of the CESA people). Please give me a call if you have any questions or if you need information about these stipends. The general announcement follows including registration instructions.

Conference online registration is now open.

There are several steps to our online registration…

• Go to www.atacrosslifespan.org

• Click on the Attendee Icon

• Register for a password, then check your email and confirm (this keeps our website secure)

• Go back to the website and login with your password

• Under the Attendee page click register, complete online form and submit

• You will receive an automated confirmation followed by an invoice (sent twice a week)

• Invoice payable by credit card with PayPal or print invoice for payment with PO
