Hello CS Educators!
This is Dan Rhode—going from lurker to poster again! I’m excited to announce that UW-Platteville will once again be offering our popular hands-on summer workshops for high school students interested in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Cybersecurity (CSSE).
🎮 This year’s workshops will run from July 14th to July 18th, and include:
Computer Game Programming: From Scratch to PyGame (led by me!)
Cybersecurity Fundamentals
Automate All Things (new this year!)
All workshops will take place from July 1th through July 18th on UW-Platteville campus. Students will:
Work in our newly renovated computer labs with real UWP CSSE Facility
Tour campus and dine in our excellent dining halls
Get swag, create a 3D print, and—if they choose—stay overnight in the residence halls, fully supervised by college aged mentors at a 1 to 10 ratio (and yes, I stay overnight too to make sure everything runs smoothly!)

💸 Scholarships are available—please encourage any interested students to apply!
Now Booking: Guest Classroom Visits!
In addition to the workshops, I’d love to hit the road again to visit high school CS programs across the state. I can:
Share a flexible and interactive talk (30 to 90 minutes)
⚠️ Fair warning: there will be some shameless summer workshop and UW-Platteville promotion
If you’re open to having me speak with your class, I’d be honored. Please sign up using the sheet below and I’ll follow up to confirm and work out the logistics (including parking/visitor policies).

Looking forward to another great summer—and hopefully seeing many of you and your students soon!
