Meet the Student Senate on AI Policy!

This week, we announced the 100 students selected to serve as the inaugural members of the Day of AI Student Senate, representing all 50 states.
This July, these students will gather at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute to discuss, debate, and develop recommendations for the responsible use of AI in K–12 education. Working together, they will draft a National AI Policy for Public Schools—created by students, for students, which will be shared with AASA's network of more than 10,000 school leaders nationwide.

This exciting initiative is presented in partnership with AASA, The School Superintendents Association, the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate, and MIT RAISE.

How to Raise Kids Who Question AI

What happens when children see AI as a friend, companion, or confidant? In this TED talk, Day of AI team member and MIT researcher Dr. Randi Williams explores how AI is changing the way young people interact with technology, and why AI literacy starts with curiosity, questioning, and understanding how these systems work.

Then, explore our free AI Literacy Family Toolkit, co-created with Common Sense Media, for practical resources to support conversations about AI at home.
