Teachers of Students 8th - 12th Grade,

The school year is almost over, AP testing has wrapped up, and summer is no longer just a myth whispered about in the hallway. I wanted to send a quick reminder that the Summer 2026 CSSE workshops at UW-Platteville are officially running and still have openings for interested students.

This year’s workshops will run from Monday, June 22, through Wednesday, June 24. Residential participants will move in on the evening of Sunday, June 21.

We have two exciting workshop options planned for students this summer:

VR Gaming:
Students will explore virtual reality game design and create VR experiences using Unity. This workshop is filling quickly, so interested students should apply soon.

Cybersecurity:
Students will learn about securing modern information systems, explore how things work behind the scenes, and participate in capture-the-flag activities. From cybersecurity simulations to ethical discussions, students can expect an action-packed three days.

The cost is only $250 for residential participants and $100 for commuters.

More details and the application are available here:

I have also attached a handout with a QR code that links to more information. Please feel free to share it with any students who may be interested.

Thank you for helping us spread the word, and please feel free to email me with any questions at rho...@uwplatt.edu.

Many Thanks,

Dan Rhode

UW Plattevile Summer Workshop Coordinator
