Wisconsin educators are leading the way in thoughtful, responsible, and creative uses of artificial intelligence and we want your voice at the table.
The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction is forming a short‑term Educator Working Group to review and strengthen the
Educators section of the
Wisconsin AI Guidance and Recommendations. This group will help ensure the guidance reflects real classroom practice, supports educator needs, and elevates Wisconsin examples and expertise.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking educators, coaches, library media specialists, tech integrators, and district leaders who are passionate about:
-
Improving clarity, accuracy, and usability of statewide guidance
-
Sharing authentic “AI in Action” examples from Wisconsin classrooms
-
Strengthening the research and scholarship behind responsible AI use
-
Ensuring the guidance reflects diverse school contexts and educator voices
No prior AI expertise is required — just curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to collaborate.
What You’ll Do
Over approximately two months, working group members will:
-
Review the current Educators section and identify gaps or needed updates
-
Contribute or help gather Wisconsin-based use cases
-
Curate or recommend relevant scholarly articles
-
Provide feedback that strengthens clarity, equity, and educator usability
Most work will be asynchronous, with a few short virtual meetings to align and synthesize.
Time Commitment
Why Join
Your insights will directly shape statewide guidance that supports thousands of educators and students. This is a chance to:
-
Influence statewide AI policy and practice
-
Amplify the work happening in your school or district
-
Connect with colleagues across Wisconsin
-
Help build a resource that is practical, equitable, and educator-centered
