Save Computer Science Funding in Wisconsin!
The Wisconsin State Legislature has stripped funding for computer science education from the
Governor's proposed budget (Assembly Bill 50 / Senate Bill 45). Wisconsin is one of just 10 states that has never funded computer science, a subject that is increasingly critical for student success in our modern economy.
A coalition of education, industry, and nonprofit groups is supporting a motion to add $6 million for computer science
back into the budget, focusing specifically on the urgent need for computer science teachers.
We need your help TODAY to ensure legislators hear loud and clear the importance of prioritizing computer science amidst
all the other competing requests. With legislators always wary of new spending, we can't be successful if you don't raise your voice alongside us. Please reach
out to your legislators TODAY to tell them to fund computer science!
