Dear Friends,
Very soon, I’ll be taking off for my LOOP THE LAKE PROJECT, a DIY Road Rally to travel over 1,000 miles completely around Lake Michigan without using a single drop of gasoline. Besides the travel itself, I’ll also be making a documentary film about the trip, and meeting up with other DIY electric motorcycles on parts of the journey. I’ll be filming interviews with them and to find out what motivates them, and what drives them to be eco-innovators.
The trip will bring attention to advances in clean transportation and the issues surrounding responsible water use.
The trip will be taking place during the first two weeks of September. I’ll be leaving from Milwaukee and traveling clockwise around the Lake until back home again.
My plan is to use the Milwaukee Makerspace as my START and FINISH point on the trip. I'm planning on making right-hand turns for over 1,000 miles until I make it back to the Makerspace!
How can you help? I’m glad you asked.
Anybody who is handy with a video camera would be good to have around when I leave and when I return. If anyone has a quad-copter that we could hook a GoPro to, I would LOVE to get some help from you, shooting a little bit of MOVING footage of me on the motorcycle.
I could also use some money. Seriously. Food, campsites, and spare tires aren't free. Donations are greatly appreciated!

Please help share about this project on forums, your social media, e-mail, and any other way you can help get the word out!
