(I work in TK-6th grade schools, so I need help with this one--and it's from an acquaintance so I don't feel right asking our district Homeless Ed. Services for their time.)

I was asked about housing options for a 20-ish y/o who is currently living in their car.  They are trying to work, so lack of shower is an issue.  Not currently enrolled in school, so I can't send them to on-campus resources.

Would they start by contacting 211 to get on the housing list (CAS)?

Is there a young adult serving program that can be of assistance to this person?

Thank you for your help!

Yes to 211 plus they should contact Wind Youth Services. They serve young adults too. (916) 504-3313
