Subject: Albert Bourla
Many know that Albert Bourla is the Chairman and CEO Pfizer, the mega billion dollar pharmaceutical company that produced the first vaccine effective against Covid19. Very few know that Bourla is Jewish. Fewer still know his full, true story. Please read this piece written by the cousin of a good friend of mine to learn “the rest of this (amazing) story”.Bill
So here's the real reason why Israel was the first country in the world to receive the vaccines from Pfizer, before the rest of the world ...
Sixty thousand Jews stayed in Thessaloniki, Greece on the eve of the outbreak of World War II. A living and vibrant Jewish community. Most of the porters in the port of Thessaloniki were Jews. The port of Thessaloniki was even closed on Saturday. Great rabbis also lived there.
Hitler stormed Greece to secure his southern wing before launching Operation Barbarossa and an offensive against Russia. Out of 60,000 Thessaloniki Jews, about 50,000 were exterminated in Birkenau in a very short time.
This glorious community was instantly destroyed. Few survived.
Among the survivors was the Bourla family. After the war in 1961 a new member of the Bourla family was born. And they called him Israel - Abraham, which became Albert in English.
Albert grew up and studied veterinary medicine. He received his doctorate in reproductive biotechnology from the Aristotle University Veterinary School in Thessaloniki. At age 34 he moved to the United States. He married a Jewish woman named Miriam and had two children. In the United States Burla has been integrated into the medical industry. He progressed very quickly and joined Pfizer where he became the 'Head of Global Vaccines'.
From there, the road is short for his appointment as CEO of Pfizer in 2019.
During the year Bourla led the company's efforts to find a vaccine for Corona in super efforts.
The vaccine project that will save the lives of billions of people around the world was led by a Jew. Son of Holocaust survivors. From Thessaloniki.
His vaccine will also reach Germany, where tens of thousands of Germans have died from the corona plague.
The vaccine is also set to save the lives of tens of millions of Germans.
Some are former Nazis, Nazis, their grandchildren and great-grandchildren ...
Bourla’s parent's family was destroyed in the Holocaust, now Albert Bourla saves the families of those who destroyed much of his family ....
And that is why Israel became the first country to receive the vaccine. In memory of Albert's grandparents. In memory of his family. In memory of our family. In memory of the Jewish people who were wiped out in the Holocaust.
And now as you read this true and amazing story, think of how many "bourla" families burned and went up in flames from the Birkenau crematoria, and all the extermination camps that contained those six million Jews who were murdered in the Holocaust.
How many professors, scientists, mathematicians and other talents could have saved this world from so many disasters that evil people brought into this world, just like the Nazis during World War II ...
Proud to be a part of this amazing people, who even in challenging times knows how to rise from dust and ashes, and be a light to the Nations again....
The people of Israel live forever!Albert Bourla

Albert Bourla (Greek: Άλμπερτ Μπουρλά, born 21 October 1961) is a Greek business executive and veterinarian who serves as the chairman and chief executive officer of the American pharmaceutical corporation Pfizer. He joined the company in 1993 and has held several executive roles across Pfizer's divisions, including Zoetis (then known as Animal Health), the Vaccines, Oncology and Consumer Healthcare business, and Pfizer Innovative Health. Prior to becoming chief executive officer, Bourla served as chief operating officer. In addition to the boards of Pfizer and the Pfizer Foundation, he has served on the boards of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, Catalyst, the Partnership for New York City, and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America. Bourla is also a member of The Business Council and the Business Roundtable.Early life and education[edit]
Bourla was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece.[2] Born to Thessalonian Jewish parents who survived the Holocaust,[3] he earned his doctorate in the biotechnology of reproduction at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki's Veterinary School.[4] He left Greece with his wife when he was 34 and since then he has lived in seven different cities, in four different countries.[5]Dr. Bourla maintains a home in Chalkidiki.[6] He is an Aris Thessaloniki supporter.[7]Career[edit]
Bourla joined Pfizer in 1993, first serving as a doctor of veterinary medicine and technical director for the company's animal health division in Greece.[8][9] He held multiple executive roles at Zoetis (then known as Animal Health) and other divisions of Pfizer.[8] He served as area president for Animal Health's Europe, Africa and Middle East division during 2005–2009, followed by the Europe, Africa, and Asia Pacific division during 2009–2010.[10] In the latter role, he managed the merger of Wyeth's Fort Dodge Animal Health business with Pfizer in these regions.[4]Bourla served as president and general manager of Pfizer's Established Products Business Unit during 2010–2013.[10][11] According to The Financial, in this role "he advanced the company's efforts to build a strong post-patent business by spear-heading efforts that maximized the lifecycle of key brands following loss of exclusivity".[4] He later served as group president of Pfizer's Vaccines, Oncology and Consumer Healthcare business,[12][13][14] where he led Pfizer's work on cancer and heart drugs, among others, and helped launch the drugs Eliquis and Ibrance, an anticoagulant and breast cancer treatment drug, respectively.[15][16][17]Bourla held the role of global vaccines chief, before being promoted to group president of Pfizer Innovative Health,[8][18][19] effective January 1, 2016.[20][21] During his tenure, Innovative Health's revenue increased by eleven percent in 2016.[4] Bourla became Pfizer's chief operating officer (COO) on January 1, 2018, overseeing the company's drug development, manufacturing, sales, and strategy.[16] He restructured Pfizer and spun-off the consumer health care business during his tenure as COO.[8] He was promoted to the chief executive officer role in October 2018, effective January 1, 2019, succeeding Ian Read.[22][8][23]Bourla was one of seven chief executives of pharmaceutical companies who participated in a February 2019 Senate Finance Committee hearing on prescription drug prices in the U.S.[24][25] In April 2019, he was presented with the award for "Preeminent Greek Leader" of the global pharmaceutical industry by Geoffrey R. Pyatt, in his role as United States Ambassador to Greece, at the Prix Galien Greece Awards ceremony.[26][27][28] In January 2020, Bourla assumed the additional post of executive chairman, upon Pfizer's announcement in late 2019 that Read would retire from the position after eight years.[29]In 2020, Bourla pushed for aggressive timelines in Pfizer's development of a possible vaccine against COVID-19.[30] He determined production of a potential vaccine would begin, at risk, while awaiting approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), although expected as soon as October 2020.[31] In late July 2020, the company was among top developers of a potential vaccine, in partnership with German company BioNTech, as they entered late-stage trials with mRNA, BNT162b2.[32]On 9 November 2020, after the Pfizer vaccine's trial success communication, chief executive Albert Bourla sold $5.6m of his Pfizer shares after the share price had risen by 7% to within a whisker of the company’s all-time high, leading to criticism even if this was legitimate under the 10b5-1 plan.[33]Board service and memberships[edit]
Bourla has served on the Health Section Governing board of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, the world's largest biotechnology trade association.[34] He joined Pfizer's board of directors in February 2018, and also serves on the board of the Pfizer Foundation.[2][10] Bourla is a board member of Catalyst,[35] a global nonprofit organization promoting the advancement of women, the Partnership for New York City,[36][37] and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), a trade association representing companies in the pharmaceutical industry in the United States.[38]Bourla is a member of The Business Council, an organization of business leaders headquartered in Washington, D.C., and the Business Roundtable,[39] a group of chief executives of major U.S. corporations established to promote pro-business public policy.[40][41]
