I think the idea of @Diarmuid_Sexton is to be able to hide stuff conditionally even on static pages which embark a collection list.
Otherwise the conditional visibility built in webflow works on cms pages directly.
I am building out a simple mapping application using Experience Builder. I have a layer within my web map that I am using for arcade expressions within my popups but I don't want the layer showing up in my legend or layer list. In the past, when using map viewer classic and WAB, this process of hiding the layer in my layer list was pretty straightforward but it doesn't seem to be a functionality within Experience Builder/the new version of Map Viewer.
Unfortunately this does not solve our problem. The above suggested solution allows users to be able to turn the layer on and off in the app. We dont want users to even be able to see the layer in the map layers widget as an option. In WebAppBuilder there is an option to hide layers from the layer list widget but this does not seem like an option in Experience Builder.
We used to able to easily 'toggle' hiding the notes list by pressing F11 - which is great for focusing on a note and easier than double-clicking on an individual note to open in a separate window. Used this every day, but has disappeared with the recent 'update'. Understand benefit of 'full screen' but please not at the expense of this basic control feature.
The feature is still there. I've used it from my desktop app and from the browser. In the new version, hoover above the icon in the upper, right-hand corner of the note editor (third column where you actually write the note) that looks like two arrows pointing at each other. It will say 'expand view'. Click this and all you will see is the note you are writing. Click it again to see the note list. I love how slick the new Evernote looks and the extra features but I still use Evernote Legacy for some things. Happy note writing!
Came here looking for this same feature. For me it is still working on an old computer, but Evernote on the new computer does not allow me to hide the note content. Would love to see this option brought back.
Hi, and welcome to the forums. I just want to be clear on what you're requesting. This thread is about hiding the middle panel, with the list of notes (which may be in snippet, card, side list, etc., view). Are you looking for a way to hide the right column, with the complete, editable view of the current note? If so, take a look at this thread:
I searched online extensively before posting (including posts in this forum). I can't seem to figure out how to hide the notes list that appears in between the shortcut/sidebar and the actual note body -- I can change the location or style of the list using the icon on the top right / immediately left of the actual note input body -- card view, expanded card view, snippet view, etc. but I can't actually find out how to hide this panel!
It is very hard to use the software with the side panel always present because (a) it takes up 1/3rd of the window, ( I can't pull up notes with a work colleague sitting next to me because some private notes are displayed in the side panel (obviously, I could show a different folder of notes in the panel but it is too annoying to have to think about this every time), and it is very distracting and actually hard to work when you see a huge list of notes in your peripheral vision that you can't get rid of unless you move the note you are working on into a separate window.
If you double click a note, you will get an Evernote window with no list ("Open Note in New Window") . This window will spawn new windows if you use CMD-J, so it's a far cry from what you want, but it might be useful.
I don't want to have to constantly be opening and closing new windows, a feature to auto-hide the 2 columns whenever I am working on the individual note, with a button that reopens it would help a lot.
2) double click any given note in the note list to open that note in its own window, which can then be resized to occupy any proportion of the screen you like. Do this with all the notes that may be relevant to a coworker peering over your shoulder and minimize the main Evernote window so it cannot be seen.
I, too, find this frustrating. What a waste of real estate. I don't really buy Scott Lougheed's reason above. Why do you need to "access your notes" when you're focused on the content your current note? And, often times, I'm copying text from another program and pasting it into EN, so it's nice to have that extra real estate to see the other program.
FR: There should be a way, preferably accessible via quickkey, where you can hide that space hog of a list.
Totally agree - there needs to be a way to close that notes list. I've been trying for a few days to take notes in EN while viewing a daily, live, time-critical video stream on my 15" MBP. Too frustrating.
On Windows you can easily hide the list with a press of a button (F11) - I use this all the time to save myself some screen space. This has been in Evernote Win as long as I remember, but it's completely absent from Evernote Mac for some reason. And I need it even more on Mac as I use it on much smaller screen (laptop 15''). This is probably one of the few features that I really miss while on my MBP.
This is a sensible, basic design element which I guess has been overlooked. If it's included in the Windows version the design team must recognize that it makes sense. I'm not even asking for a button -- a command to hide/unhide the notes list, in the dropdown "view" menu, would be great!
Totally agree that not being able to hide the middle column is mind boggling. I never use that column for anything and it wastes screen space, and it cannot be slimmed down much. Evernote, please add a simple hide / show button or option.
I too would like to hide the Note List. Please let us disappear this piece of clutter and waste of real estate. In general, the person who said we need this is overestimating the frequency at which many of us move from note to note. As far as navigation goes, I use the star/favorites menu to access the handful of notes I use frequently at any given time. When I want to find something else, there are various ways.
These three view options are what I consider the view options of the "notebook sidebar", i.e., the column with the notebooks in it. I don't see a way to get RID of this column (aka sidebar) or minimize it. That's what I want to do - minimize or hide it.
The column one over to the right from the left-most sidebar column I call the "notebook sidebar." It displays notebooks in various views, with three options. ... "card view" though it also could have just as easily been "side list view" or "Top list view".
Hey Folks! Is it possible hide a list block when there is nothing to display? I have a list block sitting in the details page. Sometimes however, the list block has nothing to show. i.e there are no child campaigns to display under the selected parent campaign.
@Suzie
I think what Luay means (and what I am also looking for) is a custom code to hide a list block if there is not content to show (right now the title of the block still shows). For example i have a list that is filtered based on a list-details block in the same page.
As you stated you can hide the job names with Secure Print jobs. Also, when the Secure Print Jobs are at the machine the jobs names cannot be seen until the folder is accessed by the user that sent them.
Device Altalink C8155. Need for hide jobs information. I did find out how to hide "Secure print" job names, but ordinary Job names hide is not possible. In Versalink you can hide "Jobs" App, but either that solution is not available with new Altalink C8155.
I am still facing the issue, By doing your given solution its not helping and tried some other method in project permission but still the same issue persist. User is not having permission to access project issue but he still able to see the all project when he goto all project list.
Do not delete issues. When you delete it is GONE. Hardly a week goes by without someone wanting to restore an issue. Deleting issues will come back and bite you when it is the most inconvenient. I suggest closing with a resolution value of Deleted anything you want to delete. I implement a special transition only the project lead can execute and it requires filling in a reason field from a select list (such as entered in error, OBE, Duplicate, Other) and explanation text.
HI. I think this doesn't solve @abhimanyu95 's issue. By doing as you say (I did it), users will not have access to the project issues but they will still see the projects listed when they chose "all projects" and will also see the respective boards (even though empty).
We need a solution where the user only sees on, that the "all projects list", the projects he is envolved with.
Yes has it? You'd think something as simple as setting a project to 'complete' so that it doesn't show up on your active list of projects would be a 'no-brainer'. As much as I like Atlassian's tools, the Jira tool has many quirks that you need to get past.. BTW I use the classic projects setup
