Whoosh is very slow in searches

Hi,

I am using Whoosh to index ~20 millions documents where each documents is ~2-4 pages.

It is normal that indexing can take time because we will do it once. Now, I try to run some query and I surprised that it is really very slow ~30seconds to return top 10 docs. Is it normal ?
